Annie - January, 2008
Open Fields rose to the challenge of one the most popular musicals ever produced. In Open Fields' very special way, we created a show that not only played at the same level as any professional theater, but brought incredible heart to the community stage. After two incredible, sold-out weekends of show, the cast of Annie joined together to do a last performance as a benefit for the Make-a-Wish Foundation and the Dover Sherborn High School Drama Department.

Music Rocks - April, 2005
Open Fields' very own rock stars Jeff Lien and Dan Snape led this project. Jeff is a professional drummer and an accomplished music teacher. Dan is lead piano player and vocalist for Soul City, a Boston based jazz band. The kids of Open Fields had the chance to perform the hits of the Beatles, Neil Diamond, Carole King, Carly Simon and James Taylor. In the process the kids learned about the bands and songs they were featuring: "Where'd the Beatles form?" "LIVERPOOL." "Their names?" "John, Paul, George, Ringo!"

Godspell - Summer 2004 & Winter 2005
In the Spring of 2004, Open Fields launched a project that featured the big brothers and sisters of Open Fields. Godspell was a sold-out smash hit for the theater group. A show that speaks to Open Fields' values of community, Godspell transformed a group of kids from all different walks of life into a family. The family became so close in January of 2005, a reunion was staged. A little bit older, a little bit wiser, and still as close, the cast of Godspell was honored to be nominated for Best Ensemble in a musical by the Eastern Massachusetts Association for Community Theater (EMACT). In addition ten of our performers were recognized with honorable mention for Best Child Actors. Jed Alevizos, who played Jesus in the show, along with Katherine Doherty, who went on to originate the role of Jane Banks on Broadway in Disney's Mary Poppins, won the award.
